Quest Men’s Bible Study / February 24, 2021 / Matthew 5:33-42 KEY TRUTH: Practice grace and integrity when others make demands of you.

Outline and Discussion Questions:
QUESTION: When have you felt like you were organized and on top of things?
Principle 1: Keep your word when you give it. (Matthew 5:33-37)
QUESTION: What situations motivate you to say, "I promise"? How do you need to apply Jesus teaching that men should be careful what we commit to and keep our word when we give it?
Principle 2: Don’t retaliate when humiliated or insulted. (Matthew 5:38-39)
QUESTION: What are some practical ways to turn the other cheek in today's culture? When have you admired someone who seemed to turn the other cheek?
QUESTION: When do we cross the line between turning the other cheek and living as a victim? What are some things that might indicate that we have crossed that line? What might be some potential consequences of making the choice not to turn the other cheek?
Principle 3: Bless those who abuse you. (Matthew 5:40-42)
QUESTION: How do we prepare ourselves now to respond well when others make demands of us?
QUESTION: What are some specific obstacles that hinder you from demonstrating more grace and integrity in your reactions to others? What actions can you take this week to remove these obstacles?
