Lesson 3, The Story of Everything, Quest Men's Bible Study
God made the world and called it 'good.'
But with the fall of mankind into sin, all of creation is groaning to be remade. This unit will tell the story of creation, seeing what Scripture says about the beauty and danger of the natural world and the hope of the New Heavens and New Earth.
Join us at 7:00am in the Parlor at Colonial Baptist Church. (Come little early for coffee and a light breakfast.)

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOLLOWING THE LESSON
Everything's broken, so what now? Read 2 Peter 3:7. This verse sometimes leads us to think of the 'end times' as a mostly negative thing. Why do you think that the end times are viewed negatively?
The destruction of the world is only part of the story. Read Job 19:26 and 1 Corinthians 15:42-44. Have you ever considered what it would be like to have a resurrection body?
For God's glory to cover the earth (Hab 2:14), He will restore all creation. Read 2 Peter 3:10-13. What is Peter's tone in this passage? Is he positive or negative? Why
This world is only a pale reflection of what it will be some day. Read Isaiah 65:17-19. How will we feel about the New Creation? Why?
Jesus showed us what it looks like for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus talks about the Kingdom of Heaven coming, and we see Him restoring creation in His miracles. When Christ returns again, He'll finish what He started and consummate the Kingdom of God on earth. How do some of Jesus' miracles foreshadow the New Heavens and New Earth?
We will inhabit a restored creation that is more beautiful, majestic, and glorious. Read Revelation 21:1-4, 10, and 23-25. What makes the New Creation so amazing? What is its primary feature?
The story of God's plan for creation tells us how to act in the here and now. Read 2 Peter 3:10-13 again. How should Christians live in light of the New Creation that is coming?
