A Spirit-Empowered Evangelist

Acts 8:26-40

Throughout the Book of Acts, we see examples of seemingly “chance encounters” that prove to be providential. One example comes from Acts 8, where Philip, an evangelist and follower of Jesus, is prompted by God to go on a journey that leads to an encounter with an Ethiopian and the expansion of the kingdom. The Spirit orchestrated this meeting, and He continues this work today, leading Christians to use the Scriptures to show others Jesus so they can believe in Him for eternal life.
